Development of auditory attention and phonemic perception.

The ability to focus on sound is a very important human trait. Without it, you cannot learn to listen and understand speech. It is also important to distinguish, analyze and differentiate by ear phonemes (the sounds that make up our speech). This skill is called phonemic hearing. The child does not know how to control his hearing, cannot compare sounds. But he can be taught. It is especially necessary to develop phonemic hearing for children with speech problems. Sometimes the baby simply does not notice that he is pronouncing sounds incorrectly. The purpose of the play exercises is to teach him to listen and hear. You will soon notice that the child began to hear himself, his speech, that he is trying to find the correct articulation of the sound, to correct the defective pronunciation.


Game number 1 (for parents) "Tell me, what do you hear?"


The child is invited to close his eyes, listen carefully and determine what sounds he heard: the twittering of birds, the signal of a car, the conversation of passers-by, the howl of the wind, the barking of a dog. You can arrange a competition between children and adults or between little friends: "Who will hear the most sounds?"

Game number 2 "Learn by sound"


The players stand with their backs to the presenter, who makes various noises: leafs through a book, tears or crumples a sheet of paper, hits an object on an object, sweeps, cuts. Those who play by ear determine the sound of an object.


Game number 3 "Seller and Buyer" or "In the Kitchen"


Tin boxes are required for this game. First two, then more. Contents - various cereals. You can take peas, it rolls in a box loudly, and sugar rustling softly. The buyer asks to sell him sugar, and the seller offers to guess which box he is in.


The boxes do not open, they are simply shaken. While in the kitchen with your child, let him listen to how different cereals sound when shaken in boxes. Game number 4 "Where did they call?"


This game requires a bell or pipe. The child is blindfolded. An adult, moving silently, calls in different parts of the room. The child should show the direction of the sound with his hand. Game number 5 "Find a toy"


The child turns away, the adult hides the toy, the baby must find it, focusing on the volume of the adult's claps: the closer to the toy, the stronger the claps. Accordingly, the farther from the toy, the quieter the claps of the adult. Are we changing? Okay!


Game number 6 "Rooster, hen and chickens" Dad is a rooster, mom is a hen, a child is a chicken. Mom bangs her stick on the table. The number of times she knocks, the number of times the chicken must squeak. 3 taps - pee pee. Daddy crows the same number of times. Like in the theater, right?


Game number 7 "Blind man's buff with a bell" The driver is blindfolded. The child is ringing with a bell. The driver must touch him.


Elimination of severe speech defects is impossible without special correction of phonemic perception. I want to offer you a series of exercises so that you understand how you can effortlessly develop phonemic perception in children.


1 exercise. "Highlight the word."


I suggest that they clap their hands when they hear words with a given sound. (a, b, w, w ....) 2 exercise. "What's superfluous?"


Pronounce rows of syllables "pa-pa-pa-ba-pa", "fa-fa-wa-fa". You need to clap your hands when you hear another sound. 3 exercise. "True False"


Show the picture, clearly name the picture: "apple." Then explain: I will call this picture either right or wrong, but you listen carefully. When I'm wrong, you stomp ”(Apple-apple-apple-apple).

5 exercise. "Clap like me" The adult produces 3, 4, 5 claps with a different set of pauses, and the child repeats after him.


6 exercise. "Come up with a word" An adult invites children to listen to a word and come up with words that sound similar (mouse — bowl, bear, lid, lump, donut, chip; goat — scythe, wasp, fox, etc.).


7 exercise "Name the longest word" An adult pronounces a chain of words, a child picks out the longest word by ear.
